Early Summer, 2010
ged June 24th, 2010
Hi Folks, It’s been a very hectic month, not just responding and training but in all aspects of our busy lives, so we nearly forgot the news letter and hope to get it out in time….
Lots of thank you’s this month starting with £158.52 from a very enjoyable Whiskey and Cheese tasting evening at the Cheshire Cheese in Longnor, this sum included their collecting box. The collecting boxes have done very well for us, it’s amazing how the odd bits of change add up and we really appreciate it, Longnor Wood Caravan Park – £47.41, Longnor Village Shop – £29.80, Tittesworth Visitor Centre – £8.60, The Three Horseshoes in Blackshaw Moor – £12.91, The Greyhound in Warslow – £30.92, Cobbles in Longnor – £7.27, The Packhorse in Crowdecote – £8 and £4.32 from a visitor who left a bag of coins for us at Brownspit Farm. Thanks also to George and Joan Critchlow from Newtown for a £30 donation and to Mrs Cope from Sheen for £20. St Luke’s Church in Sheen held a charity whist drive and raffle and has sent us the grand sum of £322.75. Emma’s London Marathon run has raised £810 which we will collect soon. What a wonderful fundraising month!
Thank you all very much for keeping us not just running but now able to put a little each month into the new vehicle fund. A number of the other Responder Groups have a sponsor who provide the vehicle for them but in this area we have no big companies to go to so we will have to do it with your help and are making a good start.
KEEP WELL and KEEP SAFE
