Flash & Longnor Community First Responders

Welcome to the Flash & Longnor Community First Responders website. We are a voluntary group trained by the West Midlands Ambulance Service and respond to all 999 medical emergencies in this area, and we rely entirely on donations to keep this service running. We cover the Staffordshire Moorlands area between the villages of Longnor, Flash, Warslow and Sheen, taking in the villages of Elkstones, Blackshaw, Quarnford, Hollinsclough and Newtown.

It is with great sadness that on the 26th January one of our responders, Martin Blackman, passed away following a short illness. Beloved husband of Karen, he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all those he helped. His funeral will take place at Hollinsclough Methodist Chapel on Friday 16th February at 2pm.

ICE ? In Case of Emergency

Have you put 'ICE' in your mobile telephone? Storing 'ICE' along with a name and telephone number will enable the emergency services to quickly contact someone for you in the event of an emergency. Eight out of ten people in the UK carry no next of kin details yet 80% carry a mobile phone, most of whom have it on them all the time. There is no simpler way of letting the emergency services know who to contact and seek essential medical details should you be involved in an accident than by using ICE.
