Minutes of the meeting held 4th January 2012
Longnor Fire Station
Present: Jackie Ellis (JE), Darren Barlow (DB), Karen Kidd (KK), Lou Whitehouse (LW), Nettie Cook (NC), Lizzie Plant (LP), Marie Frodsham (MF), Stephan Economedies (SE), Jamie Berrisford-Cook (JC), Ged Fitzgibbon (GF).

Rota: WMAS have provided a rough call out log for our area with times on. This is to try to help to provide cover when we are most likely to get called. Rota attached to previous e-mail. If you have put down for a shift and subsequently find that you cannot cover the shift please make enquiries to see if anyone else can.
Money: The pampered Chef evening raised £656.35. Many Thanks to Alice and family for organising it.
Donations: Pauline and Ewart Hall £25
Badgers croft in memory of John £10 so far with possibly more to come.
Warslow Village Hall £150
Elkestones (carol singing) £105LW + GF questioned the problem re the liabilities to the group. Both feel that if anything should happen they could loose their houses. DB mentioned that you can get limited liabilities trustees which is a rolling document. DB to try to get a copy.
Fundraising: Need constitution to get grants- MF still not got to chase, NC to look at when moved. Also need best practice of what has happened before. GF to find out what other groups are doing re charity status, constitution etc. SE to contact WACFR to see if they manage to claim the VAT back.
Local: DB has received an E-mail off Sally re the article in the Warslow newsletter. WACFR not happy that we have included Sheen , Warslow and Elksones. DB to forward to Matt Heward.
Defibs: Due to the fact that any money raised for the defibs may detract money from the group. Suggested that we try one village at a time to see how we go on. Suggested as Longnor is possibly the most populated JE to suggest to both Longnor PC and action group that they might like to join forces and purchase one. Each costs approx £1800. DB to e-mail info that he has got .
Training : MF to chase MH. MF also suggested a monthly or 6 weekly get together for a little in group training – to be discussed at next meeting.
Vehicle: New vehicle will possibly cost £26000 – We cannot afford, suggest a nearly new vehicle. The Rav will have some residual value.
Rav – needs checking for oil and water on a regular basis. Suggested we purchase the 2nd hand sump and oil light. Also has slow puncture – needs fixing (done 5-1-12). JE suggested that the vehicle may need safety testing after prang. MF to ask Geoff Bateman (GB) what he thinks and to act on it. Will have to look into grants which, may help to purchase a new vehicle.
Meal – was planned for the 25th Jan on hold as MF cannot make it. Other dates suggested. Due to developments since meeting on temporary hold.
Schools: We can go to Warslow toward the end of the week at the end of Jan, can also visit Flash and Longnor on a wed or thurs.
