The thermometer has been hovering in the high twenties for what seems like ages. After a long winter the warm sunshine has come as a relief, but with it comes new potential problems – sunburn, heat exposure and moorland fires. Please remember to have plenty of fluids with you, use your sun-block wisely, and do not start any camp-fires or barbecues. Fires can smoulder long after you think they have been extinguished so best advice is not to have one….. The ground is exceptionally dry in places and getting more like concrete as the season continues.
